Search engine optimization (SEO) refers to the techniques used to improve a website's ranking on search engines such as Google, and therefore increase traffic from the search engines to that website. Note that Rees Media doesn't pretend that we can perform miracles with web traffic or guarantee where your site will be listed in Google searches. You should be wary of anyone who does make SEO guarantees, because there are external factors that can influence search listings and some SEO 'experts' use illicit methods which may ultimately backfire. However, what Rees Media does offer is our expertise in on-site optimization techniques including customising your site's keywords and other metadataWeb metadata is the hidden data in a web page that contains information used by technology, such as search engines, rather than people. This data can include keywords (important descriptive words or phrases), a web page description and more. Google and other search engines use this metadata when indexing a website for inclusion in searches, and smart use of the metadata description and keywords can significantly improve where your site is listed in searches. However, search engines can also penalise poor use of metadata. Also, other considerations, including your website's actual content, are important factors in your search engine ranking..
